It’s funny how life works. My passion for photography began some years ago when I relocated to Sydney, Australia, from northern California, to work for a technology company. At the time, I had no idea how that experience was going to impact my life going forward.

Before leaving California, I decided to purchase a small digital camera so I could capture memories of the people, places, and things I’d be exposed to while living in a foreign country so far removed from what I considered to be “home”. It didn’t take long for the art of photography to captivate my attention, and that attention has since evolved into passion. Essentially, the rest is history. My love for the art has grown rapidly since those first couple of months living in Sydney.

Although I have since returned to the USA, there is not a day that goes by when I don’t come across some of my first photos taken in Australia – very fond memories that only seem to get better as time goes on. I guess for me, there is something very satisfying and intriguing about “freezing” a moment in time through photography. For me, it’s not so much about what the photo “looks like” - it’s more about the way a photo “makes you feel”. I don’t use any specific approach to photography, I haven’t been formally educated in the art, and I don’t subscribe to any particular theory on the subject. I just follow my instincts and if it feels right, I trust it. Occasionally, a photo will turn out to be fairly decent, and on occasion, even better than decent. I guess in large-part it’s this facet of photography that continues to fuel my passion for the art – the unrelenting pursuit of that “perfect shot”.

So, I thank you for taking the time to visit my site and I hope you enjoyed viewing the photos a fraction as much as I enjoyed shooting them.
